And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation.

Thought of the Day:

A few verses earlier (Eph 1:10) Paul presented God’s cosmic plan to unite all things in heaven an on earth. In today’s verse, Paul tells us of the experiential reality of God’s plan. We realise we are in Christ when we hear and respond to the gospel of salvation. What has been true all along, is now visible to use because our spiritual eyes have been opened.

Action of the Day:

Take a Post-it™ Note and write “I am in Christ” then stick it on your bathroom mirror where you can look at each time you see your own reflection. As you read it, remember that this is God’s plan for you from the beginning of creation. You are loved. You are accepted. You are included.

Prayer of the Day:

Spirit of Unity, you have included me in Christ from before the foundations of the world. Now that I am aware of this amazing truth, help me to live in the fullness of your goodness and love.
