How it began

Resources for Faith and Practice grew out of my own journey of exploring Christian faith and seeking a deeper understanding of God. As I wrote books and developed resources to help people engage with the questions that matter, I recognised the value of bringing together useful websites, podcasts, books and other material that could help others on a similar journey. I created the site to make these resources more accessible, while encouraging readers to think critically, ask difficult questions and seek answers that are consistent with the character of God revealed through Jesus.

I’m Brian Hight, a Christian author with a background in technical support and years of service with Mercy Ships. My analytical approach has shaped the way I explore faith: questioning assumptions, examining ideas and seeking a coherent understanding of Scripture and God’s character. What began as a resource for my own writing has continued to develop into a broader ministry, now extending an invitation to other independent Christian authors to share their work and contribute to this growing collection of thoughtful resources.

We believe faith grows through thoughtful engagement rather than simplistic answers. Difficult questions deserve to be taken seriously, Scripture invites careful exploration, and our understanding of God should be continually examined in the light of the character revealed through Jesus.

RFP brings together books and other resources that encourage spiritual growth, honest reflection and a faith that makes a meaningful difference in everyday life.

As the ministry has grown, so has its vision. What began with one author’s search for answers has developed into a platform for independent Christian authors to share their work with a wider audience. Through RFP Publications, we want to help readers discover worthwhile books and give authors an opportunity to make their voices heard.

Our aim is not simply to sell books. It is to make thoughtful Christian resources more accessible, encourage meaningful conversations and support people on their journey of faith.
