… and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.

Thought of the Day:

All things are reconciled to God – it seems too good to be true, doesn’t it? Yes, Jesus has reconciled ALL THINGS! Not just those who say the right words or believe the right things. That includes everything and everyone on earth (in the physical realm) and in heaven (in the spiritual realm). Christ has restored and made peace when he defeated sin and death on the cross. Jesus, the last Adam has reversed the work of the first Adam.

We are in Christ, so we all died when he died, and we all were made alive in his resurrection. The gift of reconciliation to God for all creation.

Action of the Day:

When you are confronted with your personal failings today and are tempted to think of yourself as a failure, remind yourself that God has already reconciled you through Christ. It is a fully accomplished deed.

Prayer of the Day:

Reconciler of all, thank you for including me. I don’t always feel included in Christ, but I accept your words as truth. You restored me before I knew I needed it. Help me to see myself through your eyes of love instead of my own self-condemnation.
